Where do we use telemetry systems?

On a rotating system, where it is not possible to use a cabled sensor and wireless data transfer is required, telemetry systems should be used.

Operating principles of telemetry systems?

In very basic terms, a telemetry system consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The measurment sensor (accelerometer, strain gage, termocouple etc) and the transmitter is placed on the rotating component. The receiver is placed in a non-rotating system (ie vehicle floor). The collected data is transferred to the receiver with a wireless protocole. The receiver is connected to a data acquisition system to save the data.
